It’s been 2 weeks since I started the Bogilates 30-Day Thigh Slimming Challenge. This week the challenge added leg lifts which I thought would be the toughest but actually is my favorite of the three exercises so far.

I haven’t had trouble keeping up with the exercise except for the 4th of July because I was off my regular routine but I’ve been finding that doing it the same time each day is keeping me on track. I read a news article that people who do excercise at the same time each day (preferably morning) had the most success staying on track with their exercise. I’ve been doing it at 3pm because what’s when I have my afternoon snack cravings and exercising distracts me from my afternoon muchies. Some days, I’ll still have a snack but I’ll reach for the healthier options to try to not negate my hard work.

I’m surprised to see what a difference this exercise has made considering I haven’t had any sore muscles and the exercises have taken very little time. This coming week, the calendar is going to add inner thigh pulses. Currently, I’m up to 10 squats, 10 leg swings (each leg), 10 side lunges (each side) and 10 side leg lifts (each side). The leg swings were the most difficult because you have to balance on one leg to do them. The first few days, I used one hand to balance on the wall but for the most part, my balance is improving and I don’t need the wall anymore. I’m excited to see what the coming weeks are going to be like.
